Game Journal: Kozure Ōkami / Lone Wolf and Cub (1 Loop Clear)

I saw Kozure Ōkami on Push To Reject and it looked interesting, so I tried it out!

It's a fun game! It has the basic movement and attacks of a beat em up but almost no other mechanics, kind of like Kung Fu Master / Spartan X except with a z axis. The game mostly just comes down to making sure you don't get attacked from the left and right at the same time. It only took a few hours to learn and I don't plan on playing it more, but I had a great time while it lasted!

TIP: Usually in beat em ups, plenty of enemies will outrange you in the X (horizontal) axis but you will outrange them all in the Z (vertical) axis, so approaching enemies from above or below is often a strong option. This game, however, is the opposite. Your long-range sword pokes usually outrange enemies horizontally, but most enemies can beat you if they approach vertically. So try to force enemies to approach you from the side whenever you can!
